Duke Family Transportation is looking for caring, dependable drivers to join our wheelchair transportation team. You'll be transporting clients to medical appointments, dialysis, physical therapy, and other essential destinations across Georgia.
This is a non-CDL role, but it requires patience, physical ability to assist with wheelchairs, and a genuine commitment to serving seniors and people with mobility needs. If you enjoy meaningful work and making a difference, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate ADA-compliant wheelchair-accessible vans
- Assist clients with boarding, securement, and exiting the vehicle
- Operate hydraulic ramps and follow wheelchair securement protocols
- Provide door-to-door assistance with compassion and professionalism
- Maintain accurate trip logs and communicate with dispatch
- Keep vehicles clean, fueled, and in good working order
Requirements
- Valid Georgia driver's license (Class C / standard) in good standing
- Clean driving record for the last 3 years (no DUIs, reckless driving, or at-fault accidents)
- 21 years of age or older
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with wheelchair transfers
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule
- CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain — we can help)
